Zambia’s Continuity of Political Activities in Barotseland Unacceptable - Saleya Kwalombota

Political corruption, lack of respect for rule of law, human rights violations are all injustices Zambia has and is still committing in Barotseland. Zambia  pursues a policy that fundamentally denies the nation of Barotseland its right to self-determination, undermines the UN Charter and other basic principles of international law, and challenges a series of UN Security Council resolutions, it shows just how far to the right this undemocratic  Zambia  has become. Despite decades of petitionin...

Understanding Resistance to Change By Stakeholders in the New Nation of Barotseland – By Lindunda Wamunyima

Allow me space in your wonderful media channel to share this screed on the subject of change and resistance once more. From interactions with people at home and abroad it is evident that there is still ignorance and resistance to the momentous change of March 2012 when Barotse Royal Kingdom officially accepted the abrogation of the BA’64 by its former UNITARY STATEHOOD PARTNER Northern Rhodesia. What needs to be reiterated time and again is that playing oblivious to the idea whose time has com...

Nothing Will Restrain The People Of Barotseland From Legislating For Their Country - Saleya Kwalombota

We are all proud of our country of Royal Barotseland and are all  waiting to witness  Barotseland's self-determination become true even in the face of the occupying country.   Zambia's militarizing of our territory is not acceptable and is an act of aggression. What is the purpose of United Nations? According to the U.N. Founding Charter (Article 1) — 1945 starts that, "One purpose of the United Nations is “to develop friendly relations among nations based on respect for the principle o...

08th August, 2014 The Registrar of CourtsMungu Dear Sir/Madam, RE: COMMUNIQUE We the people of Barotseland do agree with Magistrate Julius Malata, that courts of Zambia can try foreigners who commit crimes against Zambia. What we don’t believe is the Zambian courts having authority to try foreign nationals who have committed crimes in their foreign territories. However, we are very much concerned that justice must prevail whether you try foreigners or your nationals. With regard to the ca...

11th August, 2014Ms. Lombe KamukoshiMungu Police Dear Madam, RE: OUR EXISTENCE AS A NATION IS NOT DISCRETIONARY We believe that you are very much aware that the Attorney General of the Government of the Republic of Zambia whom you are also serving gave a directive that issues relating to Barotseland independence are a matter of policy; when a case of the treason accused arising from the activities of your officers was brought before the court in 2013. To our dismay we have observed that yo...

Guy Scott - Zambia Vice President

Both the King and Ngambela of Barotseland have refused to meet Vice-president Guy Scott, according to the Zambianwatchdog online publication

Guy Scott was in Western province over the weekend on some unknown mission.

Scott told government newspapers that he was in Mongu on an unofficial visit and merely accompanied his wife Charlotte, who officiated at the women empowerment programmes at the invitation of the Ministry of Gender and Child Development.

“When I learnt that she was coming here, I took the opportunity and I want to spend time with the party, which we have not met since elections. I also want to talk to government officers about development,” he said.

But the Watchdog is reliably informed that the PF regime is worried at its rejection in Barotseland and Scott was sent to go and assess the situation.

Reports that the British High Commission was in Barotseland to see the situation for himself has further worried the regime which many say came to power through lies.

But Scott’s attempt to meet the Litunga was snubbed as the Litunga flatly refused to meet anyone connected to the PF government. Scott then tried to meet Ngambela Clement Sinyinda who did not even respond the request sent through provincial minister Obvious Mwaliteta.

Scott later told his party cadres that "Western Province" deserves a fair allocation of national resources in the 2013 national budget like any other region in Zambia.

Why he said this God knows because Scott is one of the people allocating resources in the budget and he was supposed to tell this to his friends in Lusaka.

I thought the PF government said the Litunga has no powers. Hahahahahaha they now have realised that he actually has. Please if you have ears hear and if you have eyes see, Barotseland is gone it is not part of Zambia. Never play around with LOZIS they are too smart for you.

Please note that the story in the Zambian Watch[censored] is totally false. The Right Honourable Ngambela and His Majesty the Litunga Imwiko II had accepted for the Zambian Vice Presidentpay coutesy call. That was the oppotune time to remind the Zambian Government that their government should cooperate in the implementation of the roadmap leading to Barotseland''s Independence.

Bo Muwana, do not believe the story that Kabimba was warly welcomed in Mongu. The activities where Kabimba performed were attended to mainly by the PF cadres and Security forces. At the stadium, pupils like their teachers were forced to attend. There was a memo encouraging the teachers to attend! Ask bo Sikwindi, the assistant SG, to tell you what the PF advance party did to that effect. The town, ie, business, did not come to a stand still. At night shops are always closed. Kabimba's police and GRZ vehicles just caused a lot of traffic jams.
